The Great Escape 2021 - UK
Each May, the global music industry meets in Brighton, UK, for the coutries leading new music, industry showcase and conference. For some years this has included representatives from FMX, and G! Festival, who attend to meet industry colleagues, find great new music, and represent the Faroe Islands. However, Faroe Islands haven't seen an artist perform at the event since 2008.
For the 2021 edition, FMX have been invited to present a 30 minute film to showcase three Faroese artists - Joe & the Shitboys, Greta Svabo Bech, and Marius DC.
The UK market is synonymous with breaking new music to the international marketplace, and with the current roster of new Faroese artists connecting internationally, the festival is one of key strategic importance for both the artists and their teams. The film from the Faroe Islands features pexclusive performances from three artists, currently releasing music in the UK, with industry partners in the UK market.
The peformances were also made possible through kind support from - ATC Live, The Nordic House Faroe Islands, Visit Faroe Islands, and Vinnuframi, and will also be available for the general public to view through the festivals site, at the appointed time.
More details to follow soon.
