Coming Up: The Great Escape and London
One of the UK and Europe’s largest showcase festivals, The Great Escape, returns to Brighton from May 13–16, 2026, celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. The festival continues to be one of the most important meeting points for the international music industry, bringing together artists, delegates, labels, agents, promoters, and media professionals from around the world.
This year, the Faroe Islands will be strongly represented with three Faroese artists on the lineup: Marianna Winter, Greta Bech, and Marius DC.
Every year, The Great Escape presents around 450 emerging artists from across the globe, performing at more than 30 venues throughout Brighton. The festival also features its well-known pop-up festival site on Brighton Beach, creating a vibrant atmosphere across the city during the four-day event.
Alongside the extensive live music programme, the festival offers a comprehensive conference schedule filled with insightful panels, industry debates, and networking opportunities. The conference section of the 2026 edition will take place from Wednesday, May 13 to Saturday, May 16.
In addition to the concerts and conference activities, we are co-hosting a reception together with Iceland Music on Thursday morning, bringing together Nordic and international delegates attending the festival.
We are also part of arranging the annual Nordic Brunch, hosted by Ja Ja Ja, which serves as an important networking opportunity for Nordic delegates and international industry professionals attending the festival.
Following The Great Escape, we will continue to London for a special showcase event on Tuesday, May 19, organized in collaboration with Iceland Music. The event will feature performances by Faroese artists Marius DC and Marianna Winter, alongside Icelandic artists Elin Hall and Spacestation.
Ahead of the concerts, a reception will be held in cooperation between the participating countries and the Faroese Consulate in London, creating an opportunity for invited guests and music industry professionals to connect before the live performances begin.
The event will take place at the renowned Hoxton Colours in London, known as one of the city’s exciting venues for emerging international music talent.
Together, these events provide an important platform for showcasing Faroese and Nordic artists internationally while strengthening connections across the global music industry.
