Event - Panel & discussion - Music PR & Management
We are delighted to be joined by a delegation of some of Norways leading industry professionals in our first session of the year.
Launching in 2021, FMX has created PR opportunities with key partners in international music markets, currently including UK, Denmark, Norway and Sweden, to support and service Faroese music to these key territories. FMX has also secured funding to help contribute towards these campaigns for artists and events, in what we consider some of the most critical neighbouring export markets for Faroese music.
But what is music PR? How might we possibly connect to it? And what might this mean for Faroese music?
We are lucky to be joined by an international panel, including Glenn Larsen from Indianer Management, and Øyvind Rones, from Playground Music Norway.
Glenn is the founding director of Indianer, his work includes managing top Norwegian export acts like Highasakite, Siv Jakobsen, Pom Poko and Amanda Tenfjord, as well as the PR arm of his company, servicing both Norwegian artists (Dagny, boy pablo, Moddi, girl in red ++) and international artists to the Norwegian market for music, radio, magazines, online, newspapers and television.
Øyvind is international label manager at Playground Music Norway, Scandinavia’s biggest independent label, and works with both local and international artist releases, to service them to this market. Previously in his career Øyvind was product manager at Warner Music Norway, and editor-in-chief at Gaffa.
The session will be largely in English, and the panel chaired by FMX. There will be the opportunity for those attending to learn more about the panelists work in both management and PR, discuss best practice, and further question the panel to contribute to the discussion.
